Privacy policy for the Betpanda review portal

This notice covers betpanda-au.com only — the independent portal you're reading now, not Betpanda itself. We collect a small amount of technical data from every visit, plus whatever you choose to hand over through a contact form. We never sell it, and we never share it with Betpanda or any other operator.
If you go on to register an account with Betpanda, that's a separate relationship governed by its own privacy terms on its own platform. What happens there is outside our control and outside this document.
Data you hand over vs data we observe
Two different things get collected here, and it's worth keeping them apart.
- Data you give us directly: your name and email address, only if you use the contact form.
- Data observed automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and referral source, gathered through analytics and the cookies described in our cookie policy.
- Data we never ask for: passwords, payment details, identity documents or anything tied to a casino account — that information belongs with the operator, not with us.
None of this is used to build a gambling profile. It's used to run the site, understand which pages are read, and reply to messages.
Why we process it
We rely on a legitimate interest in operating and improving an informational website, plus your consent where cookies require it. Contact-form data is processed to answer your query and nothing further. We keep the categories deliberately narrow because there's no account system here to justify collecting more.
Processors and transfers
A short list of external services helps run the site — hosting, analytics, and email delivery for the contact form. Each acts as a processor under instruction from us; none is permitted to use the data for its own purposes. Where a processor is based outside Australia, appropriate safeguards apply to the transfer.
We don't pass visitor data to Betpanda or to any other operator we write about — there's no commercial reason to, and no technical link that would let us even if we wanted to.
Exercising your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask to see what we hold, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how it's used. Requests like these are straightforward for us to handle precisely because we hold so little.

- We confirm your identity where needed and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
- If you're unsatisfied with our response, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), oaic.gov.au, which oversees privacy compliance nationally.
Retention
Contact-form correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve the query and for a short period afterward in case you follow up. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or anonymised form after a limited window; we don't keep identifiable browsing histories indefinitely.
Under-18s
This portal is intended for readers 18+ only, in line with the gambling content it discusses. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age, and if we became aware that we had, we'd delete it promptly.
Changes to this notice
We may update this policy as the site or the tools behind it change. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, so it's worth checking back occasionally rather than assuming nothing has moved.
